Air Jordan Phat Low – Derek Jeter PE

“In April at the beginning of the 2010 Major League Baseball season, Jordan Brand gave us a look at some AJ I PE’s for their two New York Yankees roster members.  C.C. Sabathia’s AJ1 Alpha Outdoor released in April, but no we got word  about when Derek Jeter’s Air Jordan 1 Phat Low PE will drop.  Now we do…The off-white canvas AJ  1 P-Lows come together with navy blue contrast stitching and feature metallic laces that remind you the Pinstripers are the gold standard of MLB.  These PE’s will hit the Foot Locker House of Hoops specialty locations this Saturday, May 29th.”

Air Jordan I

84 – 85

This is where it all began crafted in 1984. What would become a legendary franchise for it’s focus on high performance footwear and it’s impact as a cultural icon, is born. The “Air Jordan I”. Considered revolutionary for its time, they are banned by the NBA for violating its “uniformity of uniform” rule. MJ wore his anyway, which incurred a $5,000 fine per game. The AJ I propelled him into making his first All-Star game appearance, earning Rookie of the Year honors and inspiring Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird to observe one performance as “God disguised as Michael Jordan.”
